General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Normally, I-pill induced bleeding subside after a period of max 7-10 days, the bleeding beyond this indicates a possible issue with uterine myometrium or endothelium.

Need diagnostic ultrasound for the further diagnosis of the underlying cause and manage accordingly.

But till that period, the bleeding must be controlled on an emergency basis with OC pills and hemostatic pills as ethamsylate or tranexamic acid to avoid secondary anemia from excessive blood loss.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
