General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the intrauterine devices or implants are known to produce heavy menses particularly that containing combined medications as estrogen and progesterone. I would strongly recommend that you get the implant remove and get accustomed to barrier contraceptive protection as condom to take care of avoiding pregnancy. Certain cases do respond marvelous way with progesterone only pills also which helps to control heavy menses and contraception purpose as well.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
