What Does Prolonged Bloating And Gassiness Post Miscarriage Suggest?
I had a miscarriage that lasted 3 weeks, this miscarriage started on July28,I am still bloated as if I m pregnant,I m very gassy&burping often,I feel like I m full of AIR?What can this be and what should I do about it,I ve been scared to go back to walking&doing some exercise,I feel like I still have to be careful with my recovering body?
Women who have first trimester abortions and those who do not have any complications will usually feel normal within a few days. It is normal that you may notice some abdominal swelling or bloating following your procedure. Some swelling is normal and may last for 3 to 5 days. If the swelling is accompanied by tenderness, fever, chills, severe cramping or excessive bleeding, it is not normal and you should call your OBGYN immediately.
Here are some tips that can be helpful for your bloating stomach: Don t eat too much at a time, take a probiotic, don't eat foods that give you gas like beans and lentils, don't drink carbonated beverages like soda or fizzy drinks. If the symptoms persist, I suggest to consult your local doctor for the right diagnosis and treatment.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Elona Xhardo, Endocrinologist
