What Does Prolonged Fever In A Toddler With Red Dots In Throat Suggest?

Good night Dr. I m in panic now because my 3,5 years old son has very high fever for the last 3 days. We went to the clinic 2 days ago and the doctor prescribed Amoxicillin but it doesn t work for him he still has fever and his through is very red with a with dots. What should we do?

I really appreciate your concern, the most common cause of the fever in this age group is viral fever and you have to be patient till the infection runs its course, antibiotic may not work here if this is not the bacterial infection even if this is being initiated so it would take some time for effect here also you have to be patience too,, no need to worry everything will be fine, hope this information helps, take care.
