What Does Prolonged Vaginal Bleeding Indicate?
My gynecologist is requesting a sonogram after a Pap smear. I am a 50 year old female with no pelvic pain or discomfort. My cycle has been ebbing and flowing since beginning of Nov 2017, but has not stopped entirely. Blood color has changed to bright red, from generally darker in color. What could she be looking for?

For your problem USG pelvis or Trans vaginal USG has to be done. It will help in rule out endometriosis, fibroid, polyp etc like causes if present
