What Does Protein In Urine Indicate?
I have elevated protein in urine but blood tests for creatine and bun are normal. A1C was 6.1. Have blood pressure problems when nervous or white coat hypertension. Self moniteri g once a week at home normal controlled with meds. How to reduce this protein thing. It s got me very worried. I am unable to pay for answer

There are many causes of protein in the urine. Infective cause like urethritis, cystitis, pyelonephritis, and glomerulonephritis etcetera needs to be ruled out first.
For that, urine routine microscopic examinations advisable for primary work up. Urine protein electrophoresis can be done if needed further work up.
According to the cause, specific treatment can be given. Consult the physician for examination.
