Hi, in my left ear, I ve been having strange pulsing or beating of the ear drum. It is not to the best of my heart- it has an off-and-on spastic rhythm to it. It is very annoying, it makes me cringe and stops me from focusing on my work, but does not cause any pain. Only my left ear. Seems to not happen while yawning, but may happen immediately after... (I am a 17 year old male, with childhood history of a few ear infections) Is this an ear infection? Are there any home remedies that would suffice? How long would this take to clear up on its own, and how long with medication? Thanks!
Hi. Thanks for your query. Yes, your symptoms of pulsating or beating sensation in the left ear not matching with the heart beat is usually due to ear infection or Eustachian Tube Dysfunction. There are no home remedies which can really help you.Hence the time taken for getting this OK is not possible to be predicted. I would advise you to consult an ENT surgeon as He only can have clinical evaluation, actual examination and can cure you of the problem. Minimum time taken is 3 weeks of medicines.
I hope this answer helps you.
