What Does Purple Bruising On The Eyelids Indicate?
Hello Doc, I am suffering from a very distinct and unknown purple bruising on my eye-lids and sometimes under them. I have many health issues such as arthritis, muscle pain in upper thighs and upper shoulders, trouble sleeping, trouble swallowing, my kidneys sometimes work very slowly (sometimes when they do blood tests, but not always). My liver had high levels of something bad back awhile ago too. I am now getting a painful rash all over my face too. I would like to really know what is wrong, but no doctors know, any help you can give is much appreciated! Thanks!
Relax. it is more likely to be related to some insect bite that was incidental at night or at most, some localized vascular issue related to some medication you are taking which you need to bring up with your treating family physician at a later date on your next appointment.
No need for any panic or rush to the ER. I note all your other systems go & you do not report any fever or any weakness.
So all is well. Relax the bruise will change colors et al & resolve in a couple of weeks.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
