What Does Purple Discoloration On The Heels Indicate?
I was walking behind my girlfriend if she was walking up the stairs and I noticed that her heel looks mottled and kind of a purplish - blue color. I could even see a definite line of demarcation. Do you think that is something to worry about? She says there is no pain associated with the discoloration. She is a 61 year old light brown skinned African American woman, approximately 40 lbs overweight mild high blood pressure control with meds otherwise healthy

she might have peripheral cyanosis..no worries..you can give her iron folic acid one tabl per day for one month.told her to have dietry modifications like to have green leafy vegetables in diet maximum ,take plenty of water and walk daily for 30 mins atleast.
all is going to be fine..
