What Does "broad Based Central Protrusion At L5-S1 Severe Right/moderate Left" Mean?
Impression: 4mm right paracentral extrusion at L4-L5 with 8mm caudal migration and impingement on the emerging right L5 nerve root. Marked associated type 1 endplate changes which extends into the pedicles bilaterally.
2. Broad-based central protrusion at L5-S1 severe right and moderate left L5-S1 neural foraminal narrowing.
What does this mean in laymens terms, and am I going to need surgery ?
