I'm 41, had no menstral period since July 2010, a transadominal, and transvaginal scans were performed today, the diagnostic results were: the endometrium has a thickness of 11mm, with a late proliferative phase appearance, the myometrium has a homogeneous appearance, the left ovary was identified with an unremarkable appearance, the right ovary could not be identified. What does this all mean
According to the report, combined endometrial thickness is 11 mm.This much thickening is usually seen in late proliferative phase of menstruation.Since you don't have menstruation since july 2010 ,you need clinical correlation and if needed biopsy can be done.
Uterus and left ovary are normal. Right ovary can't be visualized. It may be due to many reasons like excessive bowel gas, fatty patient etc. Hope I have answered your question.
