What Does "erosion Of Lesser Wing Of Sphenoid" Suggest On CT Brain?

The CT scan of brain of my brother aged 38 yrs contains "There is hyperdensity nonencing area in base of middle cranial fossa involving sphenoid sinus with bony erosion". and "there is erosion of lesser wing of sphenoid with extension to right orbital apex and right parasellar region"
Doctor in kolkata suggests brain operation.
