What Does "mild Symmetric Pulmonary Vascular Prominence" Mean In Chest X-ray?
I went to the doctor's offic today with right juglar vein distension (which is very pronounced when eating or talking) and fatigue (3 days) and slight dry cough. I am a healthy 47 year old female. They did a chest x ray and EKG. The EKG was normal, but the xray showed mild symmetric pulmonary vascular prominence. What does this mean?
Mild prominent vascular markings may be due to many reasons like infection, age related, congestive heart failure etc. You need proper clinical examination and further investigations. Antibiotics may be needed after evaluation. Proper treatment depend upon clinical findings and investigation reports. Hope i have answered your query.
