Hello Dr. I had LFT and ultrasound tests last week, according to dr. hepatitis A has been diagnosed. I am worried just want to know the severity of Hepatitis A level. below are the results.
LFT results S. Bilirubin (Total) 2.4 S. Bilirubin (Direct) 0.8 S. Bilirubin (Indirect) 1.6 ALT(SGPT) 610 SGOT(AST) 334 Alk. Phosphatase 285
Ultrasound Result is " Normal Abdominal and Pelvic Scan"
Please let me know the state of my illness, I am really worried.
hello i appreciate your concern you need not to worry its not a serious condition at all. Hepatitis A causes acute (short-lived) infection. The liver heals itself over a few weeks to months. It doesn't cause any long-term problems or complications. as far as your blood test are concerned its just above a normal range. if such a case comes to me in my clinic i would advise him like 1 have plenty of glucose rich food or glucose water if he is not diabetic 2.no physical exertion 3.it heals on its own over a period of 7-10 days ultrasound shows no abnormal pathology of liver and abdomen as awhole Hope this helps you Feel free to ask for follow up good luck
