What Does "opacity In Lung" Suggest On Chest X-ray?

I have had wheezing in my lower left lung only when I was taking really deep breaths for about 6 months now. I finally went to a clinic and they sent me for a lund xray. The secretary called with the results, and said that there was an opacity on my left lung. And said that I have to go for another xray in 6 weeks. No other info, why aren't they doing more to find out what it is, and what do you think it is?
