Hello,
Placental lake is a collection of maternal blood in the placenta. These are also known as intervillous spaces. Most often, these placental lakes are considered a normal finding, if they are one or two. When the placental lakes are multiple, especially when associated with decreased umbilical artery blood flow, there is a possibility of fetal growth restriction and in such a scenario, care should be taken. In your situation, this is not a finding and hence, there is nothing to worry. Just monitor regularly and follow your doctor's instructions. Hope this helps.
