What Does "small Retroplacental Clot Of 5c.c" In USG Indicate?
I have 10 wks pregnancy and one episode of bleeding pv , now i am taking inj. susten 100mg since three days, my bleeding is controlled in my USGreport- small retroplacental clot of 5c.c. other findings normal ,what is the prognosis of my pregnancy and how long i need bed rest
The retro placental clot indicates a threatened abortion. It is difficult to comment upon the prognosis. However many women do well with complete bed rest for 2-3 weeks and micronised progesterone.
If there is no further bleeding then pregnancy will continue without any further issues. I also advise to have a TORCH test done as this is an important cause of abortions.
So please take rest for 2-3 weeks and continue injection susten. All my best wishes are with you. May you have a safe pregnancy. Hope this satisfies your query. Thanks for using HCM. Feel free to ask any more questions that you may have. Dr Madhuri Bagde Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist
