What Does "white Matter Lesions Mostly In Left Front/temporal Lobes" In MRI Mean?

I just received result of MRI stating I had several smallwhite matter lesions mostly inleft front and temporal lobes. could represent earliest indication of chronic microvascular disease versus demyelinating disease. what is this in laymans terms, please?
