What Does Reactive Quantitative HBsAg Mean And What Are The Symptoms?

hi doc..my name is marisa,im 36 yrs old and im pregnant women for 7 months.i need your help because my obgyne said that important to any pregnant women to sreening the hbs ag/qualitative hepa B.so check my blood test.and according to my result REACTIVE QUANTITATIVE HBsAg.what will i do?and what is the symtoms?

I understand your concerns
With a positive HBsAg, some tests are necessary in order to have an idea whether it is an acute form or a chronic one. During an acute phase one may present with flu-like symptoms, yellowness of eyes and may be pain on the right upper part of the abdomen. A chronic form may not produce any symptom.
Tests like anti-HBc and IgM anti-HBc are necessary in the interpretation of the results.
There are some precautions that need to be take during labour, delivery and after birth (vaccination of the baby)
Some antiretrovirals (Tenofovir and Zidovudine) can reduce the viral load.
