Hello,

You missed 2 mini pills so after intercourse had taken morning after pills. You had bleeding after that though you had menstruated 12 days ago. Presently, you feel uncomfortable. You had UTI, and have been taking the medicine prescribed by your doctor. Do continue to take the medicine. Avoid using public washrooms and take care of your hygiene.

You had withdrawal bleeding. Since you are on pills, you may experience side effects like irregular bleeding, scanty bleeding, spotting, heavy bleeding, etc. However, such symptoms may suggest uterine abnormalities, hormonal imbalance, PID, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, endometrial polyps, blood clotting factor, hormonal fluctuations, miscarriage, etc.

You are advised to get clinically examined by a gynecologist, get blood tests and imaging tests done to detect the pathology causing you discomfort, so that treatment can be started at the earliest. Stay away from addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
