Hello and welcome to HCM,
Bite marks on ankle, itching and history of sleeping on carpet is suggestive of insect bite most probably bites by bed bugs.
First of all you will have to avoid sleeping on carpet.
Secondly, the bite marks have to be treated with an anti-histaminic ointment and oral anti-histamines if the itching is intense and troublesome.
Since, it appears that your home place is infested with bed bugs and other kind of insects, appropriate treatment against them is required.
Thus, I suggest you to get the area treated with appropriate insecticide and pesticide.

Thanks and take care
