What Does Red, Painful, Swollen Toes And Fingers Suggest?

Just a couple days ago i felt that my big toe was starting to hurt like i was getting an ingrown toe nail but then later that day the pain spread to the bottom of it. It feels like a blister or something but when i look at it, it just looks slightly red. I can't put any pressure on it but if i do just the littlest touch sets it off. Then i noticed it spread to the second toe and now its on the third and on the top of my second toe on the other foot. I cant figure out what happen. Two years prior I had the same thing but it was on my left hand. It started with my pinky and spread to my middle finger. They were swollen and I couldnt make a fist. After a few days it ended up going away, but im on my third day now with my feet and its hard to walk because I don't want to put any pressure on it. I'm trying to find a relation but I'm at a loss. What is this and how can I make it go away?
