What Does Red Spot With Blood And Pus On Arm Indicate?
Hi, I am a 23 year old male. Working outdoors have a red spot on my arm which is raised, produces both blood and pus. It has been on my arm for around 8 weeks. Some weeks it seems like it is going away but then it comes back again. At first I thought it was a bite or a pimple but now I do not know what it is.
Since you are working outdoors take heed that you do not get exposed to continuous direct sunlight. It may be caused due to infection from a crack or break in the skin. It can be due to heat rash. But left un-cared the boil may grow into an abscess. You are suggested to take regular bath, protect the area affected from pollutants, irritants, dust, pollen, dander, etc. Take a course of Augmentin and analgesic to reduce inflammation, swelling or redness. Cut on sugar intake for faster and better healing. If the pus and blood continue to form, get it clinically examined, you may need to get it drained & antiseptic dressing done.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
