What Does Reddish, Pus Filled, Sore Spot Under The Tongue Suggest?
HI, my name is Sarah and I have a serious question. One night I woke up with a sore spot under my tongue, and I didn t notice until maybe a day later after thinking maybe it was a canker sore and would go right away. I don t smoke or drink or anything so doubt this would relate. But I have this swollen spot RIGHT under my tongue, maybe it s a swollen vein or something...like a skin flap?? But it s located on/under my tongue and its reddish with a tiny tiny puss spot. Now I have a habit of folding my tongue over my bottom teeth and maybe causing irritation?? I don t know, I just know it s sore and looks like how I mentioned earlier... Please help or let me know if I have something serious...
I have read your query as you have pus filled sore spot under tongue this can be due to periodontal abscess in relation ti lower anterior teeth or due to inflammation of salivary gland situated floor of the mouth . For this I will suggest you to consult oral surgeon for clinical examination and evaluation .Inmeantime do warm saline rinses . Do betadine gargle .
Hope this will help you .
