What Does Redness And Burning Sensation On The Penis Indicate?

I have redness and a bit of a burning sensation on the shaft of my penis below the head. It came from rigorous sex and hand job when wasnt enough blood flow. I went to the doctor and he said to just keep it really clean and apply polysporen cream to the area. I have some Fucidin H cream at home from a case of in grown hairs that wouldnt go away in the past on the other end of penis shaft. would this be safe to use in place of the poly as it doesnt seem to be healing too quickly. Thanks

Hi,

Noted your history about redness on the shaft of penis that comes on rigorous sex and hand job.
The commonest cause can be dermatitis.
This can come on due to your sex partner having some sort of vaginal infection that comes on your penis after sex. This is sort of sexually transmitted disease.
Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Consult a Gynecologist for examination and investigations of your sex partner and get treated.
Both of you have to take treatment simultaneously.
Avoid sex for 10 days.
Review by the Gynecologist after the course of medications and then go ahead with a protected sex.
Also get tested for diabetes.
