What Does Redness On The Penis Indicate?

A month ago I had protected sex with a woman who I just met online. The next day I noticed my penis having some redness close to where the urethra is. There wasn t any bumps nor was it itchy. A few days later I started getting a sore throat, coughing, runny nose, and fever and the tip of my urethra was either burning mildly or some weird feeling. I was getting a lot of itching on my genitals and thighs next A week has passed since my sexual encounter and these symptoms are diminishing then I noticed as I was taking a shower there was an open cut in my inner groin which healed a couple days later. Later on the itching and burning sensation on my penis came back for a few days and went away. Then after that I noticed what looked like a wart ok my hand. No pain nor itching nor oozing nor redness whatsoever. Then i was getting some leakage from my pebis, a clear watery liquid which seems to only happen when i had an erection. I also noticed itching and some open cuts where my bum crack is at. It looked liked they were oozing by the look of the pictures that I took. They healed up a few days later. Going into week three I started getting lower back pain, leg pain, burning sensation on my hips whenever I lied down, and some burning on my lips as well as some pain inside my mouth. Right now it s been almost 5 weeks since my encounter and so far I m feeling well again. I looked up online what I might have and it looks like it s most likely herpes but then I had some discharge so it could be gonorrhea or chlamydia. I m not sure what it is but I m planning to get tested soon. Can anyone tell me what it is?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Probably, herpes can be the cause and tests should be done to confirm. The difference is, it's very less likely due to gonorrhoea because it causes pus discharge from urethra. So, most probably it's due to herpes, which causes such symptoms. Also, chlamydia can cause such symptoms. Therefore, do tests and treat accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
