What Does Renal Concretions In Upper And Lower Pole Mean?

hi, my wife is having a problem from last few months, she is feeling too lethargic, even by doing a little work, she gets tired and feels short of breath, by doing medical test, doctors found out that there was blood and protein in the urine, ESR and C reactive protein was raised, there was a little blood pressure 150/80, X ray was clear, sonography tests revealed that there were multiple tiny renal concretions in upper and lower pole calyx and bilateral mildly raised renal cortical echotexture, by kidney function test there was creatinine level little raised, there is no pain anywhere in the body, no swelling in feet or hands, very low appetite

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Presence of proteins in urine can occur due to infection or due to primary kidney disease.
Blood in urine can be due to injury to the urinary tract or primary disease of the kidney.
Concretions in upper and lower pole of kidney suggest presence of calcifications in the kidney parenchyma called nephrocalcinosis.Raised creatinine levels occur in kidney disease.
However, raised creatinine levels has to be correlated with other renal function tests.

Thanks and take care
