What Does Residual Fibrosis In The Upper Lung Mean?

I had my medical last sept 8. But they saw that i have a residual fibrosis in the left upper lung. What does it mean? Is there any medicine to take? And if i undergo medications, is it possible that on my next xray it will be clear? I was very shock when i heard that. Because i usually had my chest xray yearly. Thank you..hope u can give me answers on my question and give me some advise on what to do.

Hi welcome to the health care magic

From chronic inflammation and healing of pneumonic consolidation can give fibrotic foci..

Here clinical correlation is to be done...
If no symptoms present than no need for worry...

Avoid smoking if habit and keep dust exposure minimum

Your CBC and ESR is to be done

If interstitial fibrosis suspected than steroid course can be given

Investigate with spirometry that is pulmonary function test

With keeping these in mind consult pulmonologoist for examination
