What Does Rough Spot Inside The Vagina Making Penetration Difficult Mean?

Hi, I have realized putting in a tampon has gotten harder to do. Like before it would just slide in, and now it kind of stops and then i have to struggle a bit and then it goes up. I thought nothing of it until, the other day, during intercourse it took a solid 5 minutes to get past this rough spot. I also have two lumps in my lower back on the left side. Friends say they think it is in the muscle, but I am not totally sure. It causes pain sometimes.
