What Does Scanty Menstrual Bleeding Indicate?

Hi Dr, i have been having unprotected sex for the past 3 months now, i was 6 days late, my periods are always on time 28 days ,then today i start my period however , its red but not normal my flow is usually hard the 1st 2 days then it becomes light, now its just a small stream on the pad, im confused, this has never happened before
