What Does Severe Pain Around The Navel Indicate?

I have been having severe stomach pain from my bellu button area radiating to the upper part. I take medication for acid reflux daily. I have been trying Pepto Bismo & Anti Acids without success! It is ten times worse if I try to eat! It s been going on for about a week now. Milk seems to be the only thing I can tolerate. Any idea what this could be? Sincerely, Shannon

Hello,

For Acid Reflux, Rabeprazole drug, once a day can be prescribed. As you have severe abdominal pain USG (Ultrasonography) abdomen scan should be done.

If with drugs no improvement, then endoscopy can be done to look for Hiatus hernia.

Head elevated while sleeping. Avoid excess spicy foods, drink more water and go to sleep two hour after eating. Consult surgeon for examination and discuss your case.
