What Does Severe Pain Behind The Navel Indicate?

My husband has had severe, intermittent stomach pains located behind the navel for approximately 10 hrs now. He had a bowel movement this morning. He had coffee this AM with whole milk & Sugar and this afternoon hot tea, decaf, black. I m leaning toward the ER right now. Advise/comments?

Hello,

As per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this:

1) Do a clinical examination by your Doctor and to confirm do [ultrasound whole abdomen, CBC with differential and urine test].

2) Discuss with your Doctor about preventive antibiotics like [Cextriaxone] in IV.

3) Take permanent treatment as per test reports only.

Do follow like style modifications like this:

1) Avoid strenuous activity at first for 30 days.

2) Support your abdomen when you cough. Place a pillow over your abdomen and apply pressure before you cough, laugh or move to help reduce pain.

3) Get up and move when you're ready. Start slowly and increase your activity as you feel up to it. Start with short walks, sleep when tired. As your body heals, you may find you feel sleepier than usual. Take it easy and rest when you need to.

4) Discuss returning to work with your doctor. You can return to work when you feel up to it.
