What Does Severe Pain In The Abdomen And Brown Urination Indicate?

Hi I had really bad pains in my stomach/ bowels last night, I nearly passed out, hot and cold. I had painful bowel movements that were normal looking. During the night I had dark brown urine. Any suggestions? Should I see the gp as the pain is less and my urine is slightly lighter but still brown

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Consume plenty of liquids . Cranberry sachet once daily in a glass of drinking water , organic citrus fruits , vitamin C supplements help a lot. Necessary antibiotics , urinary alkalisers , anti inflammatory medications require prescription of your doctor ( who may decide depending upon your evaluation with required blood and urine tests ). Keep the genitals clean with antiseptic liquids , dry. Wear loose , clean , cotton inner wears. Avoid exposure to excess heat. Avoid smoking , alcohol if using . Keep blood sugar under control. Avoid sexual intercourse ( if active ) till recovery .

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
