What Does Severe Pain In The Abdomen Indicate?

I have been having sharp, almost electrical pain in different parts of my abdomen. Mostly the lower pelvic portion, which feels like it may be my bladder or uterus. It gets worse when I sit in my car to drive. I have been experiencing it for about two or three weeks. When the pain occurs, it is sudden, but quick. Not lasting more than a second or two. I have not had any changes in my appetite, bowel movements, or fever. I do not know what is going on.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your question and here is my advice.
I think there must be an inflammatory pelvic disease.(PID) is an infection and inflammation of a woman's pelvic organs including the uterus (womb), Fallopian tubes (tubes), ovaries, and cervix. Most cases of pelvic inflammatory disease are caused by gonorrhea and/or Chlamydia, although several different types of bacteria can be responsible.
Do a vaginal secretions smear to be checked for infection.
Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
