What Does Severe Pain In The Chest After A Steroid Shot Indicate?
i had a steroid injection in my upper spine....I felt the needle go in and as the dr started the injection i felt intense pain in my chest and up the right side of my neck and down my right arm...i had difficulty getting air....although it scared me and i thought i was gonna die i did not panic and talked my self through it (thinking maybe it was supposed to feel like that since i had never had it done before)....i continued to have intense pain in my chest and did not feel well after the procedure finished. I am still having issues in my body after 4 months. Can this type of injection cause these symptoms?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
It could have been from the initial shock of the injection. Immediate stressful situations can mimic heart attach symptoms and short lasting EKG changes. The symptoms usually go away on its own.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
