What Does Severe Pain In The Left Leg Along With Dizziness Indicate?

When walking all of a sudden I had a severe pain in my left leg below the knee to where I could not put any weight on it and started to feel dizzy, sweating and almost passed out. After sitting down I was given ice for the back of my neck and some juice which helped. Then I started to feel better but still couldn t put any pressure on my left leg. Am at home on the sofa with my leg up but it still hurts and can not walk on it. I take high blood pressure medicine, arthritis medicine and Wellbutrin. This came on so sudden. Could it be a blood clot or something with a muscle?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Muscular pain would occur if you were moving more than usually or lifting or any increase in activity or abnormal position. If the pain did not occur in any of these settings, then it is not likely muscular in origin. If it is then the use of a warm compress and anti inflammatory medication would help EXAMPLE: Naproxen, Ibuprofen etc. If it did not then other causes should be considered including a clot as mentioned. In this case, it would be best for you to see your doctor for an assessment.

Hope I have answered your query.
