What Does Severe Pain In The Legs Indicate?

Had a lower front tooth removed yesterday three hours later I had shaking, severe pain in my legs from my buttocks all the way down thighs and calves. I had fever 99.6. Racing heart. Have been sipping green tea & water only. Go from hot and feverish to shaking and chills. I am 73-year-old woman diabetic and in good health. My A1C is 6.1. I may be having a reaction to Novocain.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Probably no relation between tooth extraction and your symptoms unless the infection in the socket may spread systemically.

Use symptomatic treatment Paracetamol, use antibiotics like Amoxiclav.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor. He will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care
