What Does Severe Pain In The Thighs And Hips Indicate?
I have severe hip and thigh pain when I lie down in a prone position. It sometimes feels like the pain in radiating from the lower back. The pain feels like bone pain not muscle ache. I just recovered from a respiratory virus and spent quite a bit of time in bed asleep over the last two weeks. The pain showed up when I started feeling better. I am unable to lie in bed to sleep. I must sit up to sleep.

Need work up as:
-neurological examination
-muscular reflex checking
-X-ray hip joint in both view
-CRP
-RA factor
-if needed and after examination, nerve compression cause found then CT scan can be planned.
Consult physician or orthopedic surgeon for examination and accordingly get investigated.
