What Does Shadow On Brain In CT Scan Report Indicate?

hi my mother has had a ct scan it showed a shadow on the brain as big as a penny she had an mri on the first of june has no results yet, but has be taken into hosiptal yesterday with shortness of breath she had xrays done they have showed a shadow as well could you please tell me what this all means
