What Does Sharp Pain Around A Surgical Incision Indicate?

I had my gall bladder removed a week ago. I have been doing well until about twenty minutes ago when I turned wrong I guess and now in the middle of the five incision marks is a very sharp pain If I move. Should I just rest and call my Dr in the morning or should I go in to the emergency room

General Surgeon 's  Response
HHello,

You should go to the emergency room, as you have a sharp pain in one of the incisions of gallbladder surgery a week ago. The cause can be a hematoma, cut-through, infection, port-site hernia and so on, which needs a proper clinical evaluation, examination, and investigations like high-resolution ultrasonography, to get a proper diagnosis and an appropriate treatment. You can then surely meet your surgeon tomorrow.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant
