What Does Sharp Pain Around The Kidney Area Indicate?
I occasionally have a sharp pain in the right side of my back right around where my kidney should be (it was removed years ago). the pain kind of dies down, but then it feels like it travels across my back to the other side, then goes away. whats going on?

Please undergo urine test plus ultrasound abdomen and x-ray lumbar spine anteroposterior (AP) and lateral view. You will get a clue to your problem.
