What Does Sharp Pain On The Left Side Of The Chest Indicate?

I get frequent some times SHARP pains radiating from my left side Chest area. They are irregular in origin sometimes none some times several a day. I have had heart exams but never have shown any signs of heart disease except or a period of A fib in the past. Does this seem to be something that might be of a neurological disorder?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

A neurological disorder is less likely the case. It may be due to osteochondritis or of pleural origin. You did not mention what makes the pain worse or relieves it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhadresh Lakhani
