What Does Sharp Pain Under The Right Upper Arm Indicate?

I have intermittent shooting pain in the underside of my upper right arm, at & just below the armpit. I had a heart attack years ago and this feels different, more superficial. I have been doing weights in the gym but it does not feel like muscle strain.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Maybe you have arthritis of shoulder joint. If there is no swelling it could be tendonitis or rotator cuff injury caused duty lifting of heavyweights in the gym. So kindly take any anti-inflammatory agents like paracetamol or ibuprofen for 3-5 days to reduce the infection. You can take any painkiller also for some relief.

Hope this information helps you sort out your problems. If you feel its helpful kindly give me user thanks vote.
Happy health!
Regards,
Dr. Archana
