What Does Small Purple Bump On The Labia Majora Indicate?

I have a small dark purple bump that looks like a pimple on my labia majora. It does not hurt, and is not hard. It is smooth. It has been there about 6 months (roughly when I noticed it). I did have chlamydia about 8 months ago. My partner does not have any bumps at all. What could this bump be and what would be a possible treatment. I have tried to pop it in the past and it bled quite a bit.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you should get physically examined by a gynecologist or you can even send a photo of the pimple in reports for me. I think you should get tested for STD and also do a vaginal smear. The pimple may be related to a sexually transmitted disease.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
