What Does Small Tiny Focus Of Abnormal T2 And Flair Signal Is Seen Means In MRI
Dear doctor, i have a brain MRI with the following conclusion : small tiny focus of abnormal T2 and flair signal is seen at the left high parietal region, being inconspicuos in T1 with no mass effect Do i have something danger and serious. What should i do further????
Tiny FLAIR or T2 weighted hyper intensities in left high parietal region may be due to many reasons like ischemic changes, demyelination etc.It it is less than five in number then it is considered as non significant. White matter ischemic changes(decreased blood supply)typically involves small blood vessels. However demyelination, lyme disease, post traumatic changes should also be ruled out with follow up scan. You need monitoring of conditions that leads to ischemic changes like hypertension, altered lipid profile, diabetes mellitus. You need investigations like routine hemogram,RBS,LFT,RFT,Lipid profile, ultrasound of abdomen. If there is any more physical problems then it should be treated.
Get well soon. Hope i have answered your query.
