What Does Sore Mouth Post Having Unprotected Sex Suggest?

I have been feeling somethings wrong with me. Three weeks ago I had unprotected sec the guy told me he was clean and was tested 2 months ago, he looked good and didn t have any symptoms I checked him all over.. after that night I woke up and I had a mouth sore, figured it was just from like germs mixing when we kissed.. but that wasn t it my breathing has felt different kind of uncomfertable, like chewing mint gum and you breath and you have that weird feeling.. I felt it was HIV so I did an at home test a few days ago and was clean and I m pretty sure symptoms don t show up the next 4 hours after.. what could it be wrong with me!?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think it can be oral herpes and it is not a sexually transmitted disease. You can also do the STD tests since you had unprotected sex.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
