Hi I have a friend who has a high fever (104.5) , sweats, sore throat, and an aching tailbone, and mucus buildup. She first got all these sympoms two days ago and went to the ER and they gave her antibiotics but now its been two days and its worse, what could this be?
These symptoms are suggestive of viral or bacterial infection. The primary treatment of decongestant and anti-inflammatory with painkiller property remos the same. If WBC count is raised then prescription based antibiotic should also be given. Povidone iodine gargles. Sitz bath in a tub with warm water for hot fomentation of tailbone. Bed rest. Laxative to have soft stool to have reduced stress on tailbone while passing motion.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
