General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Depo shots consist of hormone Progesterone. This hormone shows side effect of irregular, absent, frequent, scanty or profuse bleeding. I feel you have this side effect. It mostly lessens with the advent of time. Please don't worry. Consult your prescribing doctor in case of excessive trouble. Only be careful about genital hygiene and cleanliness.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
