What Does Squaring Of Occipital Horns In MRI Report Suggest?
MRI report there is irregularity/ squaring of occipital horns of B/l lateral ventricles with paucity of white matter predominantly in B/L parieto-occipital region. The corpus callosum is thin & gracile. both cerebral hemispheres show normal grey differentiation and signal intensity.Bilateral basal ganglia, thalami are normal.Supratentorial ventricualr system is non-dilated.Posterior fossa structures and fourth ventrcle are normal.Scalp and skull bones are norma.Above is my 3 years baby MRI report of PGI Chandigarh my 3 years baby cannot stand independently and toe tip walking with the help of person and only crawling. Please suggest me.
The MRI shows mild features of underdevelopment of brain structures. The corpus callosum is a connection between both aides of the brain and it is little thin in your baby. This is seen as decreased white matter maturation in the parietal and occipital lobes and shows slight alteration in occipital horns of lateral ventricles. Early neurohabilitation of the child should be beneficial and please consult a child guidance team. They should be having on in PGI Chandigarh. It is under Psychiatry department in many hospitals.
