What Does Sticky Pale Green Puss, Sore And Red Eyes Mean?

Hello, I have had a bacterial fungi in both my eyes which has the same symptoms to conjunctavitus; for about 4months now. The chemist gave me Chlorsig eye drops, I finished their strict 2week process and still have very sore red sticky eyes. Have got chlorsig oitment now but am constantly picking out sticky pale green puss :( thanks

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello
Welcome to health care magic.

I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that you are having sore, red eyes with discharge.
This indicates eye infection in the form of conjunctivitis.
This requires treatment by the use of antibiotic eye drops and anti-inflammatory drugs.
Since you have used Chlorsig eye drops, which contains chloramphenicol, a antibiotic and since it has not responded to it you need to change the antibiotic.
I usually prefer to treat with broad spectrum antibiotics like moxifloxacin and tobramycin.

Hence I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist for examination and treatment accordingly.

Hope this information is helpful to you.

Thank you
